37 Signals - Once

The 37 Signals team is testing out a new pricing model, well an old one really.

The idea is you buy the software once and you host it, and run it, and update it. I really like the idea and I'm looking forward to seeing how it works.

One difference is this is not compiled and obfuscated software, it will be the full source code. Also, it's not desktop applications, but web applications.

Will there be piracy protections? Maybe they don't care?

Distribution via Git, Zip file, Docker image?
